FREE PSP DOWNLOADS

Ive owned my PSP for quite a while now to be honest with you I love it. I usually buy the latest games as soon as they come out. I must have racked up hundreds of hours on the dam thing. I just love the fact you can carry it anywhere and just play.

Now just recently I came accross a new site which allows you to download stuff for free. No Monthly fees and unlimited downloads. I'm always a little bit wary of sites like these but this one I've got to say is great. It has literally hundreds of free psp downloads, games music films, the lot.

Ive bookmarked the site and head over there every couple of days to see whats new.

Theres no pressure but if you love your PSP as much as I do I know you will want to check it out.

My next question about my PSP was  how to download movies.

I had already mastered the music thing so I figured the movies wouldn't be any harder to learn. It turns out it was just slightly harder, but not too much. I'm going to share what I learned with you so you can download movies right to your own PSP just like I did.

Ready to learn how to download movies to PSP? Let's go!

Just like music, PSP uses a specific file format to play movies. Movies must be in the MP4 file format in order for PSP to be able to play them. No big deal. We can handle that little obstacle.

There are many places on the Internet to download movies for your PSP. Google Video, YouTube, VideoJug, to name a few. It's as easy as hooking up your PSP to your computer using a USB 2.0 cable, waiting for your computer to recognize the PSP as an external drive (usually E;), then saving the movie file to your computer and dragging it to your PSP.

But what if you want to use your personal DVD collection to download your favorite movies to your PSP?

That can definitely be done, but first you need to prepare because movies are huge files that use up lots of memory and space on your computer and you'll need to consider several other things regarding storage for your downloaded PSP movies, too.

Decide whether to save your movies directly onto your computer's hard drive before transferring them to your PSP or whether to save them to a portable Memory Stick or whether it would be better to use some other external storage device.

These are all very important decisions because you don't want your computer hard drive to become over crowded and stop working efficiently or possibly crash. You might even want to think about consulting your favorite local computer store professional about what they would suggest as appropriate PSP movie storage options. It certainly would be a timesaver in the end.

OK, once you've finally decided on an efficient storage option for your movies, now what do you do to get the movies onto your PSP?

Well, you'll need a USB 2.0 cable to transfer the movie files from your computer to your PSP. You probably already have one so the next tool you'll need is a program that will rip movies from DVDs onto your computer.

There are several complicated free software solutions that will do this and several moderately priced software solutions, but my best suggestion would be to use a service such as PSP Blender.com.

Trust me, I'm no techno genius so if I can do this I figure just about anybody can do this.

Want to try and put some music on your PSP

PSP uses the file format of MP3 to play music. So that's what you'll need in order to listen to music on your PSP. But don't worry, there are thousands of places to download MP3s on the Internet! And many of them are free.

But what if you're like me and you have lots of CDs that you love and want to be able to move onto your PSP to listen to whenever you want?

Not a problem. First you need to get the music from your CDs onto your computer. This is called ?ripping? and you'll need a program that will help you rip the songs from the CD to your computer.

I recommend using free programs to do this. Apple's iTunes is good and so is Windows Media Player.

In iTunes you'll find the Import button in the left upper corner, in Windows Media Player the RIP button is in the upper right hand corner. Both buttons do the same thing and will allow you to copy the songs from your CDs to your computer. You can rip an entire CD or pick and choose only the songs you really want to hear. You can make your own custom playlists, too.

Remember where you've chosen to save your MP3s so you can find them later. In iTunes, you can designate a folder to save your music in by going to Preferences. In Windows Media Player got to Tools> Options> RIP Music and specify a folder to save your music in, plus any other preferences you might have.

Now that you have your favorite CD music files on your computer, you'll need to move them to your PSP so you enjoy them later. This part might sound complicated, but it's really not. It will take you longer to read how to do it than it actually takes to do it.

You're going to need a USB 2.0 cable. Hook up your PSP to your computer using your USB 2.0 cable. Your computer will see your PSP as a new external drive. Wait for your computer to find your PSP and acknowledge it. Your computer will probably make your PSP into E: drive.

Once your computer finds your PSP, you're ready to move your MP3s from your computer to your PSP by clicking on the folder where you saved your music and dragging the files into the folder into your PSP's MUSIC folder.

Well, that's it. You're done!

That wasn't so bad, was it?

Now when your friends ask how you learned to download music to your PSP, you can tell them just how easy it was. Or send them here so they can learn it for themselves!
